Elfen Lied is one of my all-time favourite animes.Yesterday I watched it again so now I can write about with fresh memories.Elfen Lied is brutal ,but don’t get it wrong.It’s true that is fulled with violence and nudity..But everything is linked to the plot and violence makes it more strong emotionally.That’s right ,before everything Elfen Lied is sad and emotional anime…Maybe the most emotional I’ve ever seen.The story is about isolation, loneliness , love and creepy scientists.It showes many of human’s dark sides.

The plot is amazing!It’s about dicloniuses ,who are human with two horns. They are some kind of mutants or next step in evolution.But that is not only difference from "normal" humans…Of course!They have super powers (what a surprise ^^)…  This power is extremly dangerous to all human race.Only one diclonius can kill hundreds of people in minimal time.And That is how Elfen Lied begins ,a female diclonius (which is also one of the main characters and you’ll learn her name if you watch the anime) escapes the laboratory in very cruel way (as cruel as experiments tested on her).She’s just walking and killing many guards.After the escape it appears that this girl have suffered from amnesia and have floated to Yuigahama of Kamakura city ,where she meets a boy ,Kouta and a girl , Yuka.They decide to take her to their home…And it becomes more interesting.Better watch it.

Animation is just beautiful.The characters are drawn pretty and everything else is made very effective.Elfen Lied is just awesome , I can describe it.See the pictures around…*tries to sound like Obi-Wan* Use the Google ^_^.Music is very emotional and sad..not the typical cheerful anime j-pop or rock.

Now ,more about violence in Elfen Lied.Yes , it’s brutal , it’s bloodbath (in literal meaning) ,it’s more bloody than everything I’ve seen.And honestly can say that this anime made me look this way - O.O.Seriously my face was exactly like that.So if you get sick by watching violence Elfen Lied is not for you…but you should know that you’re missing a huge…

Emotional part of this anime.For me the emotionality of this anime is may be the strongest thing.There are so many scences that I’ll always remember.A father who have to kill his own daughter because she’s a diclonius… A homeless child who run away from home because having a sexual pervert for father.How children treat the different from them and how cruel they can be.Another thing that made me love this anime is all the Lucy/Kuota stuff…It’s just amazing!

As a whole I’ll say that this Elfen Lied is in my Top 10 anime list.And you should definitely watch it.As a bad side I can only say that there is too much unnecessary ecci stuff…But that’s something so small that can not change my opinion about Elfen Lied.If I have to give it a rating it would be 10/10 ^_^
